Early Life and Beginnings

Fadila Hachemaoui was born in 1955 in Oran, Algeria. She began her artistic career in 1974 through theater, during what is considered the golden era of Algerian theater.

She took part in her first theatrical play titled “Al-Rihan” (The Bet), with support from major figures of Algerian theater such as Abdelkader Alloula and Serhat Boumediene.

Theater Career

Fadila Hachemaoui joined the regional theater troupe of Oran and also performed on stages in Algiers.

She became known for her powerful performances and her ability to portray a wide range of characters, earning her great respect in artistic circles.
