Meriem Amira

Meriem Amira is a young Algerian actress, born in the city of Oran. She began her artistic journey at an early age, participating in children’s theater when she was just twelve years old. She graduated from the University of Oran with a Master’s degree in Marine Biology and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in the same field, reflecting her balance between art and academic studies.

Notable Works

“Awlad El-Halal” (2019): She portrayed “Rim,” a brave and tomboyish girl, in this highly successful Ramadan series. Meriem Amira described the role as a major turning point in her career, noting how deeply she immersed herself in the character to the point that it was difficult to separate from it after filming ended.

“MSG”: A monodrama performed on stage, where she embodied the character “Houria,” a woman facing life’s challenges after losing her parents and husband, striving to maintain her dignity while continuing her education and work.

“Yemma 2”: She participated in the second season of this series, presenting a new character that demonstrated her versatility as an actress.

“The Algerian King” (2023): She appeared in this film directed by Elias Belkeddar, alongside star Reda Kateb, further enriching her artistic repertoire.
