Theater Career
Mohamed Frimehdi began his artistic career on stage in 1979, performing in The Merchant of Venice by William Shakespeare during high school. In 1988, after graduating from Taksebt Institute, he co-founded the theater association “Eshourouk” with fellow artists.
He acted in and directed several plays including:
Song of Blood (based on Anton Chekhov’s work)
The Orphans of the Emperor by Mostefa Haffiane
The Night Traveler by Salah Abdel Sabour
The Twenty-Minute Drama (based on Oscar Wilde)
Transformations (adapted from The Golden Ass by Apuleius)
Grandparents Get Fiercer by Kateb Yacine
Love and Tears, The Prisoner, and many more.
He also played the role of “Khaled Ben Toumi” in the 2015 play Harmonica, inspired by the writings of Algerian author Malek Haddad.
